Who else is going to SBP tomorrow? Gates open at 12:30.. Practice at 1:00.

I think it was Senschirp who mentioned that the Sens Store has 50% off items until the first home game? I'm not positive on all of that.... but items are on sale tomorrow.. 50% off...

I think at the end of the day that's exactly what it is but if he does surprise he could find himself on a short tryout. Either way I think Hoffman is that #14 guy they will carry, he deserves it.

What about Grant? Isn't he supposed to be the next Chris Kelly? A 6'3" 200+lbs Chris Kelly?

There's going to be lots of traffic between Bingo and Ottawa this season, I think. Compressed schedule, fatigue and injuries will be common. I think we'll see close to half of the Bingo roster up here, eventually.

Hoffman has been around longer, paid more dues, and is probably worth the first look. Grant will get a chance at some point, there is never a season that goes by that players from the minors don't get a shot.

What? Grant was drafted a year earlier, he's been with Bingo 3 seasons (Hoffman only 2).

umm Hoffman was with the Sens when they won a Calder Cup the entire year, Grant wasn't. He came out of college at the end of the 2011 season when Hoffman was already on the team.

Hoffman had 1 NHL game last year, logged like 6 minutes of ice time on the 4th line and I believe he hit the post on his 1st shift.

He has yet to get a real chance at the NHL, although his numbers seem to be down in the AHL this year.

About the same pace but he's producing on a winning team which is more important than the overall #'s from the previous year.

Hoffman will get a real chance real soon, they have handled his development perfectly and the fact they may have ANOTHER NHLer from the late rounds is nothing but amazing.

I seem to recall reading articles comparing to Hoffman to Giroux. Not on skill level perhaps but he's another late bloomer who didn't really put it all together til later.

I think Hoffman will be a 3rd line winger who works the PK and PP once in a while which is exactly what you want out of a 5th rounder. Anything more than that is gravy. Not sure what he will top out at but I look at Carl Haglin and maybe a comparable.

Sorry, the hockeydb page had it done weird -- they had his 2010-11 games with the Jackals in the row below his Bingo games, glancing quickly at the page it looked like he only had 2 seasons with the B-Sens. Doesn't change their relative draft years. Grant has been in the organization longer. No biggie, they'll all get a shot sooner or later. The thought of a Chris Kelly type player with that size, though, makes me curious.

Takes time to develop that kind of player... he is close to getting a shot and it seems the Murray's know exactly how to develop each type of player.

I think it's Randy Lee that gets most of the credit. I'm always worried someone will poach him from the organization.

He's actually *exactly* on pace for the same number of points, and one more goal than last year. Problem may be he's playing on the top line with Silfverberg, so perhaps more was expected.

Not just yet... the MOU has to be done.. but that's the rumour. They are hurting on D for sure... and not the best goalie in Bryzgalov.

I wonder if Winnipeg would move Bogosian for Zibanejad and Ceci. Sarcasm

Probably not, but it would be the perfect addition for the second pair.

EDIT: And yes I know he is out for at least a few more weeks.

Sens Website has a short video of today's physicals. What we have found out from this.. is that Eric Karlsson doesn't like needles.

Check it out for a little chuckle...
