Mac McEachern. Hmm, wonder what his nickname will be.

Great time in Ottawa. Good ice sesh and lunch with the staff. Also great to see @mpuempel putting work in the gym. #mindstate

This all plays into the Lehner to Columbus rumours. I'll do some more digging.

So Subban is going to be a better goalie than Lehner?

Yup. Button's rankings never lie. Never.

Hertl is bigger than I thought.

Imagine Lindholm a little more filled out though, maybe he even grows an inch? 6'4 and 210-215 lbs, now that's what I call a D.

I heard skater kokkok was mean. Is Reinhart meaner? I'd like to see the Sens look at a player that hits like volchelov and can clear the crease effectively

Yeah, I don't actually know anything, I just think the name Griffin Reinhart is badass.

Seems like a rich villain in a movie. I guess that counts for meanness.

Yeah, Gaunce and Ceci have NHL ready bodies anyway. Ceci back to the OHL is a waste...what's the team drafting him gonna do? And if it's us, do we plunk him into the lineup?

In terms of Volchenkov's open-ice hits, that's Matt Dumba. He isn't big or mean though, he just loves to hit when he has the chance (like Kronwall).

There aren't too many overly mean, crease clearing D in this draft that I'm aware of (at least at the top). Dalton Thrower from Saskatoon may fit the bill. He's pretty mean as far I know. Most of the overly mean guys will probably be later picks.

I'll check out the guides I have to see who else fits the bill.

Who the hell can clear the crease anyway with the way the game is called now?

I agree, but you also have to allow both players equal chance at position, but cleanly. You can't allow a defenceman to repeatedly cross check an attacking forwards back. I think about basketball which pretty much allows players to box out, using their lower body and forearm to gain position. But as soon as it becomes a pushing motion it is a foul.

So by all means allow them to use their hips, their shoulders, their butts, etc to push them put of the ay, but no extension of arms or sticks.
