There are many.
- Missing the playoffs
- Trading away mainstays like Fisher and Kelly
- Emergence of Spezza as the team's leader
- Bingo callups making heads turn
- Anderson signing
- Murray extension

Lots of others. What are your favorite stories?

For me the emergence of Spezza as a leader on this team, and on his way to a good two-way player.
This team has learned to win without Alfie.. which in previous seasons they found it hard to do.
The young guys providing the energy.
And Clouston getting so much out of this club since the deadline. He deserves kudos in this as well.
Of course the Anderson signing. Still scratching my head over Colorado doing that trade.

The Anderson trade/signing and the emergence of Spezza for me. Oh, and discovering that we have some NHL-ready prospects in Butler/Greening/Condra/DSmith/Benoit

can I speak for ssf? Sarcasm

Fo rme, that Anderson deal really changed the mindset of the team. That and Bingo callups making head's turn. After trading away half the team and having the doldrums of a long rebuild starting to set in, it took some amazing hockey by Butler, Condra, and Greening to really lift the spirits and look to the future. I doubt we find anyone complaining too much apart from 'you're winning too often'. Its these kids that really salvaged what was going to be an unbelievably terrible season. I bet its because of these kids that many season tickets got renewed.....I know mine did.

Greening winning the fastest skater competition, and chipping in with a 100+ mph slapper was an eye-opener. And this kid has size to boot. Not the biggest story but a very, very pleasant surprise.

Finally getting a #1 goalie has made a huge difference to this team. Don't forget that we were playing without our three best penalty killers (Alfie, Kelly, Fisher), with a top-pairing that included Lee, and we were killing penalties at an unprecedented pace.

Spezza taking a regular shift on the PK -- and looking good doing it.

Karlsson playing the full 2 minutes on a PP, and then another full two minutes on the PK -- in the same game.
