I think its just officially introducing him to the media, handing him his sens jersey, and another way to convince fans that the next season is something to be excited about, so become a season ticket holder.

Yeah probably much like when any major free agent signs, they meet the media, answer questions, show off their jersey. I remember when Spezza gave Hasek his #39 - maybe the have Brian Lee hand over #55? Lee wore #6 in Bingo apparently...

If you listen to the audio or watch the video, you'll hear Murray say that Jared Cowen has pretty much played himself onto the team.

If that's the case (I was off and on listening to the 3 part audio) that means the easiest choice to move out is Campoli. Otherwise it would be trying to find a new home for Kuba or Carkner would sit.

Avoid the whole arbitration issue with him. I'd much prefer to keep Kuba this season and try to move him once Cowen is comfortable in the 3-4 spot with Karlsson.

I'd say it's about time the team had some tough choices to make for roster spots. This could be a very, very, very competitive year for the team.
