"Time to play disciplined... Comrie returns..."
The Ottawa Senators (7-5-2, 16 points, 2nd in the Northeast) welcome the Edmonton Oilers (8-8-1, 17 points, 4th in the Northwest) to Scotiabank Place on Tuesday night. The Sens are coming off a frustrating loss to the Devils that saw them blow a 2 goal lead and have a steady stream of players sent to the sin bin, resulting in 3 unanswered power play goals by the Devils to win the game. As much as we'd like to blame the refs, the Sens need to play more disciplined and stay focused for the entire game. Edmonton is coming off a 5-3 win over the Avalanche, giving the Avs their first home loss of the season. Both of these teams have struggled of late so this could be an interesting game. The Oil are sporting a lot of walking wounded and were recently hit by the flu bug. The Sens will need to come out strong and keep the pressure on from start to finish. A half-assed effort like last time will encourage similar results. This will mark fromer Ottawa Senator Mike Comrie's first return to SBP this season, hopefully the lovely Hillary Duff will be in attendance along with Mike Fisher's lady Carrie Underwood and we can all enjoy their beauty if the Sens decide to lay a stinker.

Yeah. The Jack Daniels and spousal abuse just don't do it.

Just win, please. My wife is begging for a win.

i hope for a win but don't asume it's a given on this game. edmonton is amuch better team then their record is showing with a bunch of players looking to breakout- brule, penner(again) gagner, osullivan even comrie. plus the the usual from the rest.
seriously, i expect edmonton to make the playoffs... or at least close.

Need a win here. Edmonton is on the road, but neither team should be tired. Say what you will about the reffing (and I have said my share) we simply cannot continue to give them the opportunity to make a call. I don't want to see a hooking call unless the guy is on a breakaway and you actuallyhaul him down. Those "stick parallel to the ice" calls make me livid -- they do absolutely nothing to slow the other player down so why bother? Lazy, lazy, lazy! Always move your feet. No coasting.

Great GDT shabbs. I usually skim right past all those articles you post but, the Mike Brodeur one caught my eye. He's really pulled his numbers up big time and even got player of the week. I feel a little better about our goaltending (in Bingo) now.

Mike Brodeur: 4-3-0 2.56 GAA, 0.914 SV%

I've got a good feeling about this one. Assuming everyone does their job (both coach and players) and they have a decent enough IQ to realize they lost the last game, we should see a disciplined and hungry team tonight.

If we don't see that, I'd have to wonder what Clouston is up to. I'm sure both him and Alfie and the rest of the leaders set things straight. Forget the refs, do your job, don't play with a sense of entitlement....we may or may not get calls our way...nothin can be done about that.
