Pronger Chara DUO??
With the Bruins in the market for a big-name player, the Boston Herald reports the team is interested in acquiring Anaheim Ducks defenseman Chris Pronger.
According to several reports, the Ducks and Bruins have been scouting each other lately, prompting further speculation that a trade may be on the way.
The Herald claims talk has the Bruins parting with goal-scoring winger Phil Kessel in exchange for Pronger.

Avalanche Wanna be Seller's for sure!!
For the first time in franchise history, the Colorado Avalanche will likely sell some of its players over the next six days, reports the Rocky Mountain News.
"If the right deal comes up, we're going to make it," Avs coach Tony Granato told the paper. "The majority (of rumors) are someone creating something that looks like it fits for both teams. I think that's where it starts."
According to the News, Colorado's most valuable trading candidates are defenseman Jordan Leopold and forward Ian Lapierrere, both of whom can become unrestricted free agents July 1.
There have also been trade speculation surrounding forwards Ryan Smyth, Milan Hejduk and Marek Svatos, and defensemen Brett Clark, Ruslan Salei and John-Michael Liles.
Smyth, Hejduk and Liles all have no-trade clauses in their contracts and would have to approve any deal the Avs make.
Smyth has indicated several times that his preference is to stay in Denver.
The News suggests one of the Avalanche's most pressing needs is between the pipes, as their goaltending situation has been shaky all season.

NYI dont want Guerin anymore!!
The New York Islanders are expected to trade veteran right wing Bill Guerin before the upcoming NHL trade deadline.
According to TSN.ca, Guerin is willing to waive his no-movement clause and accept a trade to what's expected to be a playoff contender.
TSN claims Guerin has spoken with Islanders GM Garth Snow about the possibility of being dealt before the March 4 deadline.
Guerin, 38, has registered 16 goals and 19 assists in 60 games with the Islanders this season.
Meanwhile, various reports suggest the Islanders are also entertaining offers for defenseman Brendan Witt and forward Richard Park.

Pitts Very Intrested in St.louis but so is tampa??
The Pittsburgh Penguins are looking to get their hands on a first-line winger and appear to have renewed their interest in Tampa Bay Lightning sniper Martin St. Louis.
According to French sports station RDS, who cited two sources, the Penguins would like to get their hands on St. Louis.
TFP first reported Pittsburgh's interest in St. Louis several weeks ago, and the two teams have held trade talks throughout the season.
RDS claims the Lightning will be very busy between now and the trade deadline.
St. Louis has a no-trade clause and would have to approve any trade the Bolts make.

SOME VERY INTRESTING THINGS GOING ON AT THE DEADLINE HOPEFULLY!!! TELL ME WHAT YA'LL THINK ABOUT THESE RUMORS

Chara and Pronger should definitely scare anybody out there, don't matter who you are. The thought of those two massive D-men beating on you for 60 minutes is horrifying.

As for St. Louis in Pitts, you likely won't see that now since the Pens landed Kunitz.

I was skeptical about Pronger to Boston when I first heard about it, but it makes sense when you consider Boston has to clear some forwards and the Ducks are seemingly trying to get younger and more skilled.

Jordan Staal could be dangled as bait. Pittsburgh cleared up cap space moving Whitney, but they are heavily loaded upfront in cash, so moving Staal is obviously better than moving Malkin, though Malkin would get you a lot back.

It's one of those easy to come up with rumors.... Tampa loves to unload players and Pittsburgh needs a star winger, put two and two together, you got an E4.

I think the trade would be Kessel for Pronger straight up. Don't see any reason for either team to add anything. Ducks get a player on the verge of becoming a big, big star and unload Pronger's contract.

And Boston is able to move one of their forwards to make room for a hall of fame defenseman without sacrificing too much team chemistry.
