No, that wasn't me. I just voted because I couldn't decided between the Auld signing and the Ruutu signing, but I voted Ruutu. For 3 years at 1.3 a year, I like this a lot! And he's a much, much better hockey player than I thought.

I almost picked Auld, just because it was a tiny gamble and the rewards were huge. He's been a really calming influence back there and had allowed our D to get their Dung together. Very nice.

I like the Mez trade a lot right now, but in the long run I'm undecided. And I love the Smith signing, we're lucky to have him (horrible giveaway tonight aside).

And what can you say about Chester? 5 great games in a row and he finally gets rewarded. I love this line almost as much as the Spezza line. Chester - Fisher - Alfie. Lights out!!

All in all I'd say Byran Murray had an excellent summer. :D

I liked them all, but I decided on Ruttu. He is proving to be a better player than I anticipated, as well as bringing Neil back to what he does best. I figure the 1.3M got us Ruttu and a better Neil.

This is how I felt too. The 3 year term kinda sealed it for me.

What is there no to love about Ruutu and his contract? Excellent signing by Murray. I too was a little skeptical with this signing at the beginning. I thought this guy was an agitator at best but he has proven that he is a whole lot more. :D
