He’s not a C although he naturally suited for it, is extremely versatile and he’s not just some guy either. He’s a legit prospect that Dale Tallon made a mistake trying to sneak through waivers. Hawryluk is gritty, has leadership, offensive upside and was almost a 1st rounder. I fully support this claim. So will you soon I imagine.

Yupp. I saw his advanced stats. They were pretty impressive. Good move too considering the Sens should be trying to keep as many players down in Belleville as possible.

Where are you going with this

Probably nowhere. Dammit!

I wonder how much cash that 10% netted him.
I haven’t heard anything in months relating to his group and a purchase. I imagine if they were to make a purchase it be a leveraged purchase with a. Certain level of debt involved anyways. So I’m not too inclined to think of him selling his stake.

Is he really a prospect though? 24 years old.
Except his stats in the wHL, nothing speaks to me as untapped offensive potential.
3rd liner energy guy at best.
I’m not saying it’s not a decent pick up, it’s free, allows us to maybe even package some prospects up or something if need be. You need guys like these, but I’m not gonna hold my breath hoping some untapped potential to manifest.

Oh he's a depth guy for sure. That's it. Cheap add

Maybe it's precautionary. I haven't seen him listed as out

Hainsey played yesterday. Didn't know there was a game so I missed half of it. Didn't miss the finish, though Smile

They will be sending players down for the Calder Cup run soon enough (while also bringing players up for a cup of coffee). So they will need players who can play in either the AHL or the NHL.

No one to really send down aside from Batherson right now

You're right. Chlapik was already sent back. Hogburg would be the other one.

I think hogberg has 'graduated' at this point. It's the Gus and D'Accord show down there now

I don’t know that he’s really shown he is our number 2 next year but we can definitely run with him going forward behind Nilsson when he’s back.
The good thing is that he’s under contract for another year before he’s set to be an RFA so we should have a good idea of what he looks like after another year next year.

We’re still left with a three headed battle in goals in Belleville next year. I imagine Soogard will head to the ECHL

So counted we move all of our departing Dmen by the trade deadline or don’t resign him it looks like a pretty green D next year.
Chabot-Zaitsev
Wolanin-Brannstrom
Rielly-Jaros

Unless they decide to keep Brannstrom to the left but I’d like to see him get a chance to play on his preferred side for an extended period of time.
The other option is bring a LHD to play the 2nd pairing. Like a bogosian on a 1year prove me contract.

Then you have a
Chabot-Zaitsev
Brannstrom-UFA
Wolanin-Jaros
Rielly

Line up that looks a little more solid

There’s also quite a few unknowns up front.
I don’t know how secure I feel offering Duclair anything more than a 1(possibly 2)year contract.
Tkachuk-Tierney-Batherson
Balcer-White-Brown
Chlapik-Brown-(Duclair?)
Paul-Anisimov-(?)
Hawryluk?
It leaves 1 or two open spots for Norris or Formenton or abramov to try and make the team? I I,signe Dorion won’t let that much completion open and that green a team and will likely sign a vet to a one year also.

With Duclair's drop in production, a short term deal makes the most sense. He's a RFA, and I dunno how many years until he gets to UFA status.

Get him outta here while you can.

Agreed. if we can get a 2nd rounder for him so be it.
i'd much rather see someone else more hungry take his place. or another 1 year contract from someone who underperformed that we could trade at next year's deadline.

Not sure I agree. He's played quite well and he's generating a ton of chances. He has arb rights. Sign him to an arb 1-year deal and trade him next deadline

I thought of you sign a player to a contract from arbitration you can't trade them for a year.

As for Hogburg, Nilsson will be back and Anderson is not going anywhere.
