It's not surprising or wrong that Dillon gets a second and third. He's much better than DeMelo all around. Andy Greene isn't as good, but just because one guy overpays for his ex doesn't mean that's the new price for every other similar player. It's like when the Sens fleeced CBJ for Dzingel, that didn't set a precedent.

Scandella for a 2nd is one I wouldn't know much about, haven't seen him at this year

Dorion is a bum. We have the worst GM in charge of an important year. Develop prospects and get value for vets. That were the only two things needed this season.

Don't see how that isn't happening. It's not even the deadline yet. The prospects part is the most important, and it's been a massive home run so far in Belleville.

You should because that is massive in this draft and that is still minimizing the actual price of other players traded prior to and after DeMelo.

yeah, that's not a return we should have gotten. I think a 2nd rounder was the appropriate return. if that's all they were offering then hold on till trade deadline day.

Dorion isn't a master of trades as he's shown us. I just wish he could go back to his original job of director of scouting.

I think he should get crucified if he doesn't get at least a 1st for Pageau.

No. Salary retention happens when teams are at the cap. The Sens have no such worry and actually should be getting more value in return when they take on salary for teams. Don’t spin Dorion for anything other than the Dung he is.

I just think the return difference is irrelevant in this specific case as the picks are close enough in value to get worked up over. Especially for a player labelled as trash by many two seasons ago.

Also Is Doug Armstrong dumb because he made the scandella move?
