Can't say I know enough about him. If they targeted a Russian he must be good Sarcasm

Marc Savard thinks Duchene signs here on July 1.

I would be shocked but that would be awesome

Abramov and Davidsson are not good at the moment. There are many questions in their game. This is not a good return in my opinion when you have much better prospects inside the Columbus pipeline.

I don't know their prospects all so not providing an opinion, but it seems many have them in their Top 4-5 prospects, with Abramov #2 for some.

Yep, I see a lot of people saying Abramov is a very good prospect. Time will tell....

He’s invisible most nights in the AHL. He should be better at this point. I don’t think he will have many Ottawa fans in a couple years.

We shall see. Certainly not going to say you're wrong as I have not seen him. I really like the pick aspect of the deal just because Columbus isn't even in the playoffs and if they make it they could easily lose first rounder. That's preferable than Nashville.

The Columbus pick is top-3 lottery protected.

Abramov is playing on an AHL team that doesn't score much and he's doing ok as a 20 year old. I've seen him play, he's got loads and loads of talent. Davidsson I know nothing about. A good 1st rounder is always good.

I like to see progression every year. Maybe if Abramov has the excuse of getting used to NA ice that would be one thing, but he’s been here for a long time. He’s invisible for long periods in a game and very streaky overall. Lots of players have loads of talent.

How they couldn’t get or maybe didn’t want one of Bemstrom or Texier is beyond me. Those are players that continually show progression and in Bemstrom’s case, huge strides this season.

it's tough to project as some guys just take longer to develop especially in their first pro season. Big jump from Q to A. Mike Hoffman for example took a while to develop in the A.

Next year would be the year I hope to see a big progression from Abramov. He should be their top line winger.

Prospects are prospects. And I agree with you. I just have personal preference. They don’t make or break a deal with the straws I’m drawing. I would ya e preferred the higher IQ players with skill over one dimensional dynamic talent.

- Sens won 39 of 118 games with Duchene in the lineup
- Received one, maybe two first rd picks. Probably the best 1st rd pick on the table. Everyone else is more of a contender
- No bad contracts or NHL money taken back in the trade
- He wasn't going to re-sign

If Stone is traded I'm hoping we can land a player like that but a D.

A lot of people had him projected in the 1st rd with 'size' being his biggest issue

He was listed on many lists as their top prospect to start the year, but then tailed off the lists when he had a slow start in the pros, I mean...come on lol, it happens all the time.
