Big W for Belleville tonight despite their lineup being ravaged by Ottawa and injuries. Norris, Brannstrom, Logan Brown all looking good down there.

Norris now leading all rookies in scoring and is ranked #1 in goals. Formenton ranked #2 in goals and #6 in scoring.

Meanwhile Brown and Brannstrom are scoring at 1.33 points per game . All positive signs . These guys need to find a way to translate this at the NHL level

Tied in points with the 3rd place Marlies who hold one game in hand. One point back of 2nd place Utica, with a game in hand. Both Belleville and Toronto have better winning percentages than Utica.

Solidly in a playoff position with a good chance to move up to 3rd or even 2nd.

Just wait until they get Wolanin in a few weeks. Bath will be sent down, and the Sens will probably acquire a few bodies on expiring contracts via trade. Maybe they recall Chlapik or something but I think they're going to re-enforce the BSens for a Calder run and play-out some contracts in Ottawa.

Josh Norris is one of the best players in the ahl in his rookie season. Exciting to see.

3-2 loss with Jaros, Balcers and Batherson out of the lineup. D'Accord (technically our fifth string goalie) was in the net. Decimated blueline.

Going to be a force when the Sens load up for a long Calder run.

They blew that game apparently. Had it going into the third.

Also, we should note that D'Accord has been really good since arriving in Belleville and actually getting playing time. Troy Mann said that he's the best puck-handling goalie he's seen since Braden Holtby.

D'Accord's dad is a goalie coach. No surprises there. And he may have passed Gustavsson on the depth chart.

Tormenting with 2 goals tonight puts him at 18 in his rookie season just 2 behind Norris

The Marlies forfeited their game because one of the coaches had a medical emergency (likely a heart attack) in the room just before the game.

This means the BSens are a full 2 points up on the Marlies, 3rd in the division. They are also just 3 back of the division leaders, with a game in hand.

The second place team actually has the highest winning percentage, as they are 2 up on the Sens with a game in hand, 1 back of the lead with 2 in hand.

Is 2nd place in the near future? How about 1st?

Daccord with the shutout and the BSens are tied in points for second in the North (Rochester had shame in hand). Just a point back of the Division leading Utica Comets, who have played 1 more game than the BSens.

Marlies AC was released from hospital. It's wasn't a heart attack but a grand mal seizure. No wonder the players were too freaked out to continue.
