The highest the Sens can finish is 4th last place or 28th out of 31.

I'm okay with top 5 to be honest but I do agree that top three would be ideal.
If we do get Dhalin, the defensive left-side is pretty incredible with Chabot, Dhalin, Wolanin, Englund coming down the pipe.
The right side remains weak and while I think it is counter-intuitive to do this, I'd look at trading Ceci either for a top-six forward or RHD. All of a sudden Ottawa get's pretty nasty on paper.
Chabot-Karlsson
Dhalin-XXXXX
Wolanin-XXXX
Find two stay at home d-men (one could be Jaros or Harpur as the #6) and all of a sudden Ottawa is looking pretty slick from the back-end.

I’ve been dreaming about your exact post for weeks now, except for knowing that I want Wideman to be that 3rd right side defenceman with Wolanin. Go get a veteran shut down defenceman to play with Dahlin and we are golden. Luke Schenn is a UFA, overpay him and I’d be happy.
Chabot-Karlsson
Dhalin-Schenn
Wolanin-Wideman
And without giving it much thought

Dzingel-Pageau-Stone
Formenton-Brown/Chlapik-Ryan

Most hockey people say Dahlin is top 4 right off the bat. JGP as a second line centre is terrifying.Flo The Action wrote:Lagoon wrote:DefenceWinsChampionships wrote:Lagoon wrote:The highest the Sens can finish is 4th last place or 28th out of 31.

As much as Dahlin is highly touted he’s not starting as a top 4 D. Just ain’t happening.
Keeping pageau as a top 6C and white on your 1st like also scares me.
I’ll leave out my usual kalrsson won’t be back line.
