Habs won. Canes won. Sens reamin 6 points back of Tampa and Pittsburgh (who have 2 and 3 games in hand, respectively) for the wildcard spots. While that seems like a huge hill to climb, they are also just 7 back of the Red Wings for 3rd in the Atlantic. A regulation win tonight puts them within 4 of the wildcards and 5 of being top-three in the Division.

Detroit is on a four road-game losing streak. They've given up 10 goals in the first two games of this road trip and have been outscored 19-8 on the road losing streak. Mrazek was pulled in the last game (6-3 loss to Pittsburgh) so the Sens have to get to him early before he regains confidence.

This is as must win as games get at this point. I doubt we see any lineup changes. Go Matrix go.

Lines from practice:

Hoffman-Turris-Stone
Dzingel-Zibanejad-Ryan
Smith-Pageau-Neil
Paul-Lazar-Chiasson

Boro/Prince would appear to be not playing.

Interesting:

2nd straight game Ottawa has scouted #stlblues. Blues had two scouts at the last Ott game. Other scouts tonight: CBJ ARZ & BOS via @lkorac10

Borowiecki says he expects to play, but will be a game time decision.

I really wonder who they are scouting? Z smith? Nick Paul?
More importantly, were the Saint Louis scouts scouting the canes or us? Is the scouts tonight scouting us or Detroit?

Detroit is in a playoff position and the Canes were just 2 points out. Better chance that the Sens are sellers.

Cameron confirms that Boro returns to the lineup; Wideman out.

"Mark is what I want my team to be" -- Dave Cameron

Sens analytics crowd goes insane. Heading over to Cameron's house with pitchforks and hot tar and feathers.

Wideman is certainly not a mainstay so I couldn't care less that Boro is in his place

I care that we have a guy quite capable of playing on the bottom pairing and is a rightie sitting. I don't mind bringing in Borowiecki but I do mind that he is playing on the wrong side.
