Totally fell asleep midway through the second. How bad was it?

If you look at the goal that put Anaheim ahead 2-1 on the PP, as the enter the zone, all 4 Ottawa defenders converge on the puck carrier, it gets passed to a guy that's wide-open, and that's that. Just a simple defensive mistake, which is a trademark of a young team. It was on the right side too, but I forget who the Ottawa defender was on the ice at the time. It stinks to lose games like this where it looks like you had at least a point coming.

Hopefully there were scouts in attendance that felt the same way and we can sell high on at least one of these two and get someone that plays more than one "impact game" only so often.

Not really a shocker. If we get some better d-men maybe we won't need Karlsson out there killing penalties.

This is why EK doesn't play much PK. When the score is tied and you are killing a penalty why would you want EK out there? That one's partially on Cameron. But it also was a very stoppable shot. This was a first NHL goal, yet again. Sure, it was a "perfect shot". Then Cogliano, who hasn't scored since my twins were still 12 puts another one it. First two goals were the types where you expect a good goalie to stop them.

First two anaheim goals are on Anderson in my books. Dmen take the angle and pass away. BOth goals go through his arms. The GWG was infuriating for me. Best penalty killer has to be your goalie, and I don't know if Anderson is fatigued or what but that wasn't a good showing on his part IMO

Rest of the holes are obvious, our d sucks and our forwards are not generating nearly enough. That said, game was tied with less than 5 mins to go....

I think what's also disturbing is the sens mailed it in after the 2nd goal. What the heck was that display? Maybe mailed it in isn't right but they imploded and didn't look to me like there was any push back from them. There was still 4 mins to go.

Not feeling too good about their chances in the east considering carolina and philadelphia are back in the mix.

Bang on.

Sens are the real slump busters for so many players. Silfverberg got a goal too Facepalm

Lazar scored for us, which is nice. But where the heck are turris? Stone gave the puck away a lot yesterday.

Yeah, so the storyline (again) that if our goaltending isn't great, we don't the W. A good team has to win games when their goalie isn't stopping everything.

There's your answer. Sens are not a good team.

I thought the zibanejad line was about the only line generating anything (though hoffman had some giveaways too), and that isn't saying much either since the chances weren't too dangerous.

LA gonna rape us.

All comes back to transition again. We dumped the puck 90% of the time while Anaheim always had clean entries.

lol I just made up 90% I have no clue.
That's just what it looked like.

I think we all know that another good top 4 D would go along way to correct that, not only for the first pass out of the zone but also on the cycle in the opposing team's zone.
