I would have sat Neil out for this one, put Lazar on the right side, kept Smith down the middle and let Prince play the left side.

I don't understand the notion of coming out and saying "Prince has been good, he's done everything we've asked and he's coming close.", then scratching him.

Similarly, I don't understand the notion of Puempel having been sat for even one game. People wonder why I don't like Chiasson a lot of the time, this is the reason. He's ok, there's nothing wrong with the player, but he should be playing 4th line minutes and taking a spot away from Neil, not taking a spot away from Prince or Puempel - both of whom are clearly better IMO.

And why is Cameron playing Wiercioch tonight? Why not sit him, get him to watch from the box, move Cowen up with Ceci and get some puck movement on the third pairing with Wideman.

Anyway...Cameron can get them going - and he'd better get them going. I thought we'd be a lot better this year, albeit it's only game 15 or whatever.

prince has not been better than Chiasson. It's time for him to be waived.

So, to summarize the lineup changes:

- Weircioch sits, Wideman in
- Prince sits, Puempel in
- Andy sits, Hammond in

Here's hoping that:
- Cowen-Boro are *not* reunited on the PK
- Lazar does *not* replace anyone on the top line
- Cowen-Boro realize there are still 66 games to go and one of them is next (hell, both of them are next, I hear Phillips is skating)

He has been faster. Chiasson needs to improve his skating (not speed but agility -- too often he tries the outside move and his feet go out from under him). Prince appears to be snake bit and if he is afraid he might be sent down, he is probably correct.

I'd rather Prince than Chiasson. More speed, more skill, just as tough. Chiasson and his 3 points this year on the 3rd line is getting tiresome.

Good news about Wideman. It may not make much of a difference, but at least it shows that they're trying something.

As opposed to Prince and his 3 points? They are playing entirely different roles and neither has really done much. Chiasson has been getting a little better.

seriously, its not a bad thing to sit prince and have him watch the game from the box and see whats expected of him.
chiasson has been playing better. sure the goals arent there but hes playing with more of an edge lately.
glad wier is sitting, but i'm scared to see who they line-up with ceci.

Yeah, but Prince is getting a lot of chances and he's also creating chances. Cameron praised him just the other day.

I disagree - Chiasson has been excellent as of late. Prince brings nothing to the table at the moment besides speed. He reminds me of Cory Conacher.

Yeah, but Prince is getting a lot of chances and he's also creating chances.  Cameron praised him just the other day.

Cameron also explicitly excused Weircioch and Anderson from the blame storm, then promptly took both out of the lineup.

I don't know why he would even bother saying anything about Wiercioch. He basically said that everyone was ganging up on Wier and that he was only a part of the problem. I don't even know what that means.

To me it means that he's crappy, but so are the rest of the D-men, so what should I do? Scratch him is the answer. Again and again and again if need be. Hammond needs reps too, no big deal there.

Well, the Hammond thing is obviously a direct result of how Andy played against Nashville. Hammond just had a start on Saturday, so it's not like the one game this week for Matrix means that he needs more rest.

That said, Hammond has just one regulation time loss in the regular season...so why not go with the guy that is guaranteed to get us points. That said, I'm not sure I like the idea of benching your clear (and great) starting goalie after one sub-par performance. By and large, Matrix has been terrific this year.

Meh, I don't think this reflects badly on Anderson. He's been pretty strong for us - again. That Nashville game was an absolute piece of Dung game. It was entertaining, but there was no defence. Wiercioch shat everywhere, Karlsson was crappy, Cowen was crappy, the forwards were crappy. Crap was everywhere.

Give him a day off, let him come back Saturday rejuvenated.
