Perry scored his first of the season with about 5 seconds to go to tie it up. Silfverberg scored another (probably his league leading) SO goal. Anaheim squeaks by Florida.

Leafs blow it in the last 2 minutes, lose 4-2 (last one was an empty-net shortie). I think they've surpassed everyone's expectations for how much they would suck. But Babcock still gets paid like a boss.

Hawks up 5-2 after the first period, Blues score 3 in the second to tie it up. Nothing in the 3rd. Weird game. Blues win in OT on Tarasenko's 7th.

So Kane won't be prosecuted. Rightly or wrongly it's impossible to tell. Did the girls family botch things up in order to make sure Kane's people couldn't force them out and in the process much it up or is this a case of someone going after the money of a high profile player.

Hard to tell but I'm sure this will haunt Kane for a long time to come.

I'm sure it won't haunt Kane at all.

Lack of trust might be an issue from now on. Lack of trust for gold digging trash, I mean.

The only thing it will haunt is possible endorsements. I don't think Kane will give it a second thought.

But companies will. He might have to survive on just his NHL salary with little endorsement $$$ coming in. Maybe he could do some Jello Pudding ads.

Sorry, I missed that part, was just focusing in on the "I don't think Kane will give it a second thought" part.

Very weird story out of the OHL. The Flint Firebirds' coaching staff was fired by the owner, who apparently did not think his son -- a 16-year-old D-men with the club -- was getting enough ice time. After the coaches got fired all the players -- including the owner's son -- handed in their jerseys and quit. They apparently wrote on a blackboard that they would return if the coaching staff returned.

So the Isles' on-ice issues (holding on to that last Wildcard spot) are the least of their concerns. Apparently the move to Brooklyn is an unmitigated disaster. They are 29th in the league in home attendance, averaging just over 12K per game. Fans hate the new arena because of the bad sight lines and traffic.

A fiasco which rivals most SENS games this season. Facepalm
