Wiercioch plus Prince is that enough?
They would probably want Hoffman. Might be able to swing weir going the other way also I'm not sure what a deal would look like to be honest but BM should be looking at this. He's got the connection. We'd miss Hoffman but we could manage ok with puempel soon enough. And our back end would be pretty solid.

Hoffman for Fowler? Dream on. Stone, a first, second and third round pick. Then add Paul, Lindberg and another prospect. At least. Maybe karlsson too.

Geeze, I thought you were serious at first until I read past "a first". Honestly, I think Hoffman+Weir is a good start, but nothing more than a 2nd on top of that (farm prospect, preferred).

Stone suspended for 2 games. Unreal.

I know fowler is a sexy player to think of but the way Hoffman has come out of the gate this year I think he has pretty good value and considering that Anaheim is the one desperate for some offence then I think Hoffman and weir is a good enough deal.

Niemi looks good there. I'm assuming he'll be the hands-down starter there by January.

Dallas is almost doubling the Leafs in shots (27-14) and trailing 3-1. Niemi not having a "hands-down-starter-by-January" kind of game.

What the hell did April put in Jimmy's thermos on the way to work? Reimer stopped 43 shots!

That's ok. It isn't January yet. Munch

What, not January yet? Not even with the change to daylight saving? Must be January *somewhere*.

Wow, no suspension for Big Buff. I just watched the hit. Gallagher got into a stick match with a another Jet coming up the ice and there was a delayed penalty (high sticking I assume) already being assessed on the play. Byfuglien skated across to Gallagher (who was not in possession of the puck), played the puck with his stick, pushing it off the boards, up the ice behind Gallagher. But as he skated past Gallagher he lifted his elbow and got him right in the head.

His argument, apparently, was that the play was turning back up ice (which it was -- he moved the puck) and that he wasn't paying attention to Gallagher so much as he was to the play. That's BS. He only swiped at the puck at the last second, you can see him looking straight at Gallagher, then a quick glance at the puck, poke, then back to the matter at hand. Or at elbow. There was fairly clear intent to retaliate against a pest who just high-sticked a team mate.

Also the DOPS said in their ruling that he kept his elbow tucked. Yeah, maybe his left elbow, but the right one definitely went up.

Not the worst hit I've seen by any stretch, and if not for the chicken-wing elbow I wouldn't even say it was a penalty. But it was an elbow to the head, should have been a suspension.

The elbow stays tucked right up to when he collides with Gallagher, at which point the elbow drives up into Gallagher's head. I guess the dopes at DOPS insist that an untucked elbow means you have to skate like Encarnacion going around the bases.

Does this look tucked to you?

Pretty hard fall into the boards by McDavid. Comes up holding his shoulder. Mind you, he still bent over to pick up his stick in the corner -- with the bad arm -- so maybe it wasn't as bad as it looked. Also he sat up and was not wincing in pain. If he misses a lot of games that would be bad. The Oilers would probably get another 1st overall pick.

TSN. Reporting he's out long term. Wow. Edmonton. i sure hope they stay competitive because I'm sick of them drafting high.

Likely fractured collarbone. The way he got up and picked up his stick, though, certainly didn't look like a compound fracture, at least.

Larkin and Panarin are ahead of Eichel at the moment

Larkin is very impressive. So is Shehan (sp). Shehan needs to bulk up though.
