Ottawa Senators (present and past) TIDBITS & QUICK HITS!

Lazar got the blue-chip-offensive-prospect treatment going straight from Junior to the NHL. It's silly to pretend that shouldn't come with expectations that far exceed what he's done so far.

To me lazar has Been great in his role and certainly similar to that of Condra last year and Pageau this season. He's a 20 year old player. He hasn't disappointed the team or myself so far

But has he disappointed City Ottawa?

He's been good, but the lack of offense is frustrating to all

I'd like to see the coach reunite stone with turris. Hoffman/Ryan have some good chemistry right now so I doubt them being with zibanejad will slow them down. Don't think the lines are changing anytime soon but here's what I think would work based on my numerous years of armchairing this biatch:

Michalek-Turris-Stone (worked great last year)
Hoffman-Zib-Ryan (keep the hottest tandem on the team together)
Lazar-Pageau-Prince (new kid line should have some potential)
Chiasson-Smith-Neil (good solid energy on the 4th line)

Next game day thread should be. Clutchie and the fam jam go to the game edition.  This is a pretty big deal if you've followed me on Facebook.

My wife is quite weak and mostly bed bound but we're going to make this happen thanks to the nursing staff and the senator's organization.

The game is Dec 1st which is 26 years to the day since we started dating.

That's great news! How is the Sens org helping?

The Sens are providing the tickets to a suite at no charge and are arranging for my wife and the nurses to be dropped off and greeted at the valet parking entrance.

The nurses will ensure she is safely transported and comfortable during the game and will administer medication as needed among other things.

There's something to be said about Stone and Pageau having their own line, I think. Spreads out the offense big time.
