Once again, lucky to get a point and a lot to work on.

Wiercioch is detrimental, clearly they have to decide if it's worth keeping him in at this point, but taking him out will really hurt his confidence down the road.

What? They desrved the two points tonight. Best game all year.

no question, over the first 6, I like Cowen more than Wiercioch. As long as Cowen keeps it simple and doesn't try to do more than his hockey IQ allows, he's fine. Wiercioch could easily be replaced by Wideman. At least Wideman has the ability to skate out of trouble. If Wiercioch can't find his stretch pass, he just makes stupid plays and he still can't play the boards at all.

I think they should put JG up to play with Ryan and Michalek. At least Pageau will forecheck and get to some loose pucks. The pocession stats for that line right now must be horrendous. Let Zibanejad's old school training regime get to phase 2 somewhere around midseason so he can handle the tempo of top 6.

spader wrote:I hope the game was good. I tried to watch it on Gamecenter, but they wanted more money (I bought the full access pass, then got an error message saying that I only bought a single-team access). So, I called Rogers.

"9 minute wait."

After about 15 minutes, I get a guy who asks for my first name.

5 minutes on hold.

Then he asks for my last name.

5 minutes on hold.

Then he asks for my account number. I get half way through and he says its the wrong account number. I say that I only have GC as a Rogers product. He abruptly says, "Hold please."

40 minutes later I hang up.

I call back.

"5-15 minute wait."

I wait 12 minutes. A lady comes on the line. I explain what just happened and ask that she not put me on hold at all. She agrees and just uses her mute button. After 10 minutes of her coming back to the line then putting me on mute to talk to her supervisor, she explains that she can't help me because I'm only a GC customer and she can't access my account. I insist that she get me through to GC directly. She can't. She says it'll be a 35 minute wait and that she's really sorry. I believe her, but it is what it is.

I finally get through. This call has been about 55 minutes to this point (About 2 hours total right now). I get through. I tell the lady that I'd like to go straight to escalation and speak to her supervisor.

"I'm sorry, my supervisor isn't taking calls. It's after hours."

I explain that I've been on hold for 2 hours and I need to speak to someone right now. I'm being as nice as I can. She goes back to her supervisor who again refuses to take the call. I have the poor call agent go ahead and process a refund. She encourages me to call back tomorrow. I insist on getting a call from a supervisor. She says she sent an email and guarantees I'll get a call tomorrow.

I'll keep you posted.

Yeah cowen's game is pretty good when it's simple.
Wier can be thrown off the puck too easily. I don't know who they decide to trade first but whoever they do decide I hope they can address the need for a true top 4 D.

I can't see where we would come up for a guy to replace Zib on that second line. Good centres don't grow on trees.

Still lucky to get a point being down late. Still things to work on. Getting better though.

Pageau.

I'm not certain he's up to it, but it's worth a try. I think JGP and Ryan could be good together.

I love pageau but I'm not sure he's exactly second line C material. Worth a try.

Nd then you have a line of chiasson Zib and lazar.... That should be a crazy scoring line.
