If 80 is reachable, 85/86 aren't wild. Just saying.

6 more points is 7.5% of 80. I said 80 was "reachable" not guaranteed or assured or anything else. If the PP is in the bottom-third of the league I think EK has trouble reaching 70.

I legitimately think he can be ridiculous.

You're crazy.

I think NEELY was predicting the minimum number of goals Stone will get this year.

I think 20-25 is a much more realistic goal. A 30+ goal sophomore in this dead-puck era would be quite something. And a steal at his cap hit. PK's lumberjack chop is likely the start of a trend where the other teams will have Stone's name up on the bulletin board as someone to pay attention to. That'll be good for news for that second line. Breakout season for Zibanejad, perhaps, and a come-back for Ryan.

I really hope so but I'm expecting a dip in his production, best case scenario 25. Teams are gonna be expecting him a bit more. Same reason why I'm not expecting stone to net 30 either. Not this season anyways.

On the other hand I do expect Bobby Ryan to get back up to 30+

Exactly. Teams will focus more on Stone and Hoffman and that will give Ryan a bit more freedom.

That's what I think also. I'm also looking forward to having that third line score more goals. Hopefully it will include either pumped or prince with the other on the fourth line. Come to think of it if we don't do a greening, smith Neil line then all our lines could be contrinuting some goals next season. Seriously though, that 4rth line cannot just be what it is.

Hoffman is the Cy Young of the Sens.

I don't understand the reference? Because he's going to break so many records? Or get traded a few times?

I believe it means lots of goals and few assists. I'm guessing it's because Cy Young threw a lot of complete games, thus few assists for the bullpen crew.

Neil was on pace for 9 goals. Puempel was on pace for 12. Neil has been working out hard and is down 7 lbs from his previous playing weight (was down 11 at one point this summer). I think he's going to be more of a contributor than we may think. I just hope he doesn't try to do too much and end up taking a lot of penalties (or a lot of off-sides). If we have both Prince and Puempel in the lineup (as well as Hoffman and Stone, who are likely to be targeted) we will need Neil (Boro can't do it all, especially with Gryba gone).

While I wouldn't necessarily call the Sens a small team, they aren't exactly a hard team. Many of our best payers (in terms of playing hard) are on the smaller side (Pageau, Borowiecki) and many of our players with size are not hard-nosed (Wiercioch, Stone, Ceci even Ryan, to a lesser extent -- he does hit a bit).

So, not sure if we need a "banger" line but we certainly could use someone like Chris Neil. Do we have anyone in Bingo who could fill that role? Score close to 10 goals playing 4th line minutes and policing the other team? We will need someone like that next year.

It's like a good pitcher's win-loss record looking like a hockey players goals vs. assists.
