I'd bet hard money Williams picks one of those teams closer to winning it all then us (which might be debateable).

Condra can cash in here, get an NHL pension with his new contract, and bank a lot of $.  I think he ends up in Buffalo personally and on a 3 year, 6 million dollar deal.

I really like Condra but unless Smith and Neil are moved out you just can't jam up the roster for 3 years with Greening still being here for 2 more.  Just too many bottom guys.

On that note Lee was speaking none stop about McCormick yesterday and he sounds like he's the guy the want to win that Condra spot on the 4th line.  Robinson brings a different dynamic but he will also be fighting it out.

He said there were more than a handful of guys he was going to recommend to Murray should see some NHL action this year. Something to that effect anyway. He said he tries to keep the expectations low, but he sees pro players in a few of these guys and in some others he sees near NHL ready players. (paraphrasing).

Dzingel is ready for a breakout season IMO. Look forward to tracking his progress. McCormick is a nice one too. Paul as well. Many neat "safe" prospects coming.

Ward makes some sense the more I think about it. Except he plays RW. If he could play LW, then that's a similar player to Condra in that he's defensively responsible, but he scores more.

We'll see, Ottawa has a ton of drafted depth so it will be interesting to see who gets a shot going into the season and who turns heads at camp.

Still a big contract log jam, they need to move another forward still.

How much does a Conn Smythe cost? Probably too much.

Williams will get 3 x 5.5-6. Too much for the Sens but the player makes sense.

I dunno if that's too much for us if we're letting Condra go. Say that's 5.5 - 1.5 that we were probably offering, so it's 4 million for a huge upgrade.

Sens have some house cleaning to do with contracts and the players available are all borderline 2nd line guys so buyer beware this year. Truth be told I want to see a lot of GM's lose their minds again and just get into cap trouble.

Ottawa is in really good shape but again, move some bodies.

No chance. Via trade is a little more likely.

I'm in the same boat. I'm worried about Beleskey and Stewart getting offers, but I think they stand pat.

No chance on Beauchemin even? :/

So more than one person on this site has said that. How can Hoffman get an offer sheet if he elected to go to arbitration? You can't get one if you do that.

I believe this is right.

I don't remember reading anything anywhere stating that he filed, only that he was eligible for arbitration.

Not making much sense. They are willing to go 2 years but not 3 and you are concerned about a roster jam? Neil will be gone in the 2nd year ad Michalek, Greening, Smith in the third year. This reasoning doesn't make sense.

Makes tons of sense, 2 and 3 years with the Sens prospect pool is a big difference. 33% longer.
