Point was that they were moving from a larger arena to a smaller one because the larger one made it look bad (empty).  If not for TV revenue and the rivalry with NYR that franchise would have moved/died a long time ago.

You have to look at where Nassau is located and how much of a pain in the Donkey it is to get there for a lot of people.

Then you look at the age of the arena and the long history of failing to get a new one.

Finally they got a sweet deal from Barclays.
Plus following the Jets model it makes more sense of having a small arena and cranking the ticket prices up to artificially limiting supply.

If we ever get a CTC 2.0 in Lebreton I bet you it will seat less than the existing one.

Let's not forget that earlier in the same game the chopped down hard with his stick from about 8 feet in the air and would have sliced off Pageau's elf-ear if it wasn't pressed against his skull with the brain bucket. A clear case of a high stick with absolutely no possible excuse or explanation (Pernell, you are not allowed to touch pucks up in the rafters) and yet he argues and the call is reverted.

No breaks. Round 2 starts tonight. Washington plays the Rangers, and Calgary is in Anaheim. The other 2 series start tomorrow night.

I picked every first round series correctly except the one that matters most....

I only got two teams wrong. I was wrong on the number of games on most series though. Time to post round two guesses.

No but, there's something about odds of getting suspended. Pays well but, no one's bet on it happening yet.

Not enough. The only way it could be close to enough is if they get swept on a bevy of bad/close calls. But then it would mean that we lost to a team that got swept in the next round.

Are there really fans who cheer on the team that beats them to win the Cup? Who can even think that way?

Oh, but you also have day 2 of the NFL draft and the Kentucky Derby (not sure if this is the race itself or they show you the muddy track and talk about a 2-minute race to come). Apparently there is a game 7 of one of the NBA series. Game 7 in pretty much anything should be decent.

You could also have watched the Czech Republic game against the host Latvia. Apparently they removed 41 large beer glasses (empty) from a single row of 12 seats. This was an early afternoon game. That's almost 3-1/2 for each person in the row.

The Rags are real good. I assume theyll come out of the East, but Washington is giving them a run.
