Is that 3 game winners now?

Edit: Checked, yep. Tied for 2nd in the playoffs (Johnson has 4 while Kucherov, Kane and Belesky are the others with 3 each).

P.S. Kane has 3 game winners? But I thought he was really cold, and I don't recall him being really hot before.

I think it's over now. Toews has his eye on the prize now. He hasn't really turned it up yet in this series (although he's been very good on face offs) so I suspect he's going to have a hell of a game.

He definitely shows up once a guy like Vermette does all the heavy lifting. Then happily takes all the credit.

Vermette has 4 goals, 3 of them winners. But it's Toews/Kane who lead in overall points with 21 each (identical goals/assists, same 14 ES points -- only difference is Kane has 7 PP points as Toews has 5 PP and 2 SH). Vermette is also killing on face offs (over 58%) but as Toews is taking a much greater number it's fair to say he's taking on the better centers.

I know you were being facetious but without Toews it would have been Ducks in six. He came through huge.

Agreed. It sure didn't during the regular season, but he's figured it out.

It's pretty funny that the Cup was late arriving. This is probably the last time they try to do the whole cheesy "the Stanley Cup is in the building!" thing.

Anyway, pretty good final series. Poor Benny B has a torn groin, and Tyler Johnson has a broken wrist.

It turns out Brad Richards picked a pretty good place to play.

Micro-tear and a micro-fracture?

You cannot play goal with a "torn" groin. Partial tear (also known as a pulled groin) I understand. Stojko won the Olympic silver with a pulled groin. Still don't comprehend how he did that diagonal run with the fancy footwork with a pulled groin.
