Bobby is either out of gas or he's injured. Either way, we can't expect him to be any better than he was for the last 20 games or so...he's a non-factor.

Agreed. Michalek is back, which should improve our situation significantly.

All the more reason why Chiasson has to bring it tonight.

Small forward group? Stone/Ryan/Michalek/Zibanejad/Chiasson/Legwand are all 6'2"+ and all over 210. Turris is 6'1", Lazar/Hoffman/Condra/MacArthur are all 6'0", Pageau is the only small one at 5'9" but hits like a little truck. Then you've got Smith and Greening again 6'2" and over 210.

Re-watch the last 30 Sens games and you'll have your answer.

It was a rhetorical question.

Hammond is the only factor here.

Our 4th line from last time is sitting by the sidelines. Our third line is actually contributing.

I'd say slightly. We are talking about Smith our and Michalek in. If you figure he's good for 2 goals over 5-6 games that's probably 1 better than Smith's potential. Now, if Michalek can somehow make Bobby better, then that would be a significant improvement.

Have you not watched Michalek before his injury? He will bring far more to the table than Smith.

Cue the avalanche of stats presented in a context-free manner, and which offer no insight into how either player has been playing recently...

Beats presenting an opinion based on actually watching.

Yes, I did. Did you see him scoring a lot of goals? No you didn't.

He's been paying better, yes, but the same was said by someone about Smith. Neither one of them played like Stone.

Michalek has played better under Cameron and was on a tear before he went down.

Smith has 2 goals in 37 games, that's Colin Greening territory. He's terrible and has been for a while.

Smith had been playing better for sure, but he's still way less of a threat to the Smurfs than 9MM.

Think of it like this, would you rather have Michalek at full speed or Smith? I take 9MM every time.
