If Sens mile didn't do it nothing will.

That said, I was under the impression that I have very little effect on the universe other than my opinion on all things hockey but if I do I apologize.

Still, this is as pressure-filled a game as the Sens could possibly have.  The Flyers will be loose and just trying to end on a positive note.

Stay out of the box, keep the pace up, and pressure their poor defence.

That's a big chunk of the team. The Flyers are cutting deep into their farm team.

My son was in the Finals (a 3-game series) of his Midget House League. Reffing was terrible. But they won the deciding game 5-1 and no-one got hurt (not in the last game, at least).

I feel my existence is worthless. I have no duty to the sens winning. I guess I'll continue this lonely journey converting the female habs fans to the centurion ways with the help of tequila and lowly bets.

Congrats to your son but I will tell you right now the hardest games to ref in hockey are midget and juvy house league hockey. The refs who goal going into those games is "make sure someone isn't seriously hurt". Gotta lay off the refs.

But that's what the problem was in the second game. By the time that kid got thrown out a lot of crap had already gone on. One of the round robin games my son got knocked on his Donkey in the handshake line. The kid that did it was around 6'3" and probably pushing 250. He had three penalties in the game that should have been two and the game. I don't cry about letting them play when they cal the hooks and holds (my son was guilty of one last night) but the elbows to the head, blindsiding someone (no hit league, right?) and pushing into the boards from behind can't happen.

I'll be honest and this isn't meant as an insult in any kind of way so I apologize ahead of time if you take it like this (I never say sorry for being honest but when it comes to someones kids I do).

Midget and juvy house league is garbage hockey, it's looked at as garbage hockey and it will always be garbage hockey. The only people who don't see it are the players and parents, everyone else knows it's trash.

The main goal of the ref while in these games is to make sure no one gets hurts. The other goals are the same as any other game but when the kids don't know wtf they are doing and the parents and blindly cheering on their kids the game becomes almost impossible to ref.

"Was that on purpose?" is the biggest question they will ask and guess what, you never know when it's garbage hockey. Uou need to make that call in a split second a there is no way to know if you are right or wrong.

The whole game for the ref and linesmen is a guessing game because the kids love to play but suck at the game. Yah, pretty harsh but it's true. Again, I apologize if you took that personally in anyway.

It's not all garbage. Our goalie was the best in the league, including A. Used to play competitive until his side forced him out. Really short kid (saw a goal scored over his head when he was in a butterfly) but his skill and compete level are as good a I've seen in rep games. I won't get insulted by the "garbage" comment, but not everything has to be compared to the NHL or the pro track. Kids have fun and parents get to drive. I don't expect much more than that most of the time.
