Great game by Hammy again. He held us in there...Ottawa had 2 posts on one of their PPs in the 3rd, and then another post in the shootout. This game easily could have gone either way, but getting that point against one of the hottest teams in the league (and the hottest goalies) is big.

They have a giant test tonight against Winnipeg...another point would be great.

shootouts are awful. Can't wait until 3 on 3.

Preferably in Big Heads mode.

That would be a mistake IMHO.  Just imagine if the Habs had stuck with Huet way back when and then later stuck with Halak instead as well.  I think Andy, regardless of how Hammond plays, should be the one traded.  Greater trade value right now and if you're still building then you don't hang onto a guy that may not even be here when it's time to compete for a cup over a guy that should be a starter in short order and for many years to come.

Hopefully we have Da Costa back when we can switch to big heads mode.

Seriously though, yeah, let's go 5 minutes of 4 on 4, then 5 minutes of 3 on 3, then the shootout please.

How about you just play 60 minutes and, in a tie, give the win to the Visitor, kind of like an "away goals" rule. GDT: Sens @ Wild - Tuesday, Mar 3rd, 8pm, TSN5, RDS - Page 5 852933671

I'll gladly take a point in Winnipeg. These are the games in hand and we gained one last night. Would be great to gain another one. I won't be greedy but I'll take 2 if it's no bother.

Good little stretch coming up. The dreaded first game back after a long road trip is against a team that's determined to lose out. Then Calgary, who must be reeling after losing Giordano and getting nothing at the deadline (plus they lost Glencross for picks). Then the huge game against Boston.

Season just may come down to this.

BTW, we'll still have a game in hand on Boston when we play them.

That was so funny. That was the end of an epic 3 and a half minute shift where first the Sens hit 3 posts, then the wild hemmed them in for 1 and a half minutes. Ryan was gassed and Karlsson was sucking pond water and they were so happy to have the whistle Ryan hugged Karlsson and Wiercioch.

Fixed. Zibanejad had 2 and Karlsson 1, on 3 straight shots. That's probably unheard of

Yeah, I think Minny should be thanking those posts for getting 2 points from that game (or any points, I guess).

Bobby Ryan is giving Karlsson a run for his money as my favourite Senator. Love that guy!

Was it three posts? I only remember hearing two pings. Whatever, it was nuts.

The first one just touched it a bit.
