That Russian goalie is going to give some team trouble. Let's hope he used it all up on Canada in the exhibition game.

When a goalie is stopping all the pucks like that you've got to make him stop something other than pucks, too.

I wonder if he'll take most of the faceoffs, though. McDavid's got a broken hand, after all (I broke my knuckle in my 20s and it still hurts if someone with a strong grip shakes my hand). Plus Lazar's been playing against the likes of Crosby and the Sedins.

Are you saying McDavid dominated or Lazar? I thought McDavid wasn't very good. He's skating a lot with one hand on the stick (I haven't seen much of him before so not sure if that may be his style); and I don't mean one-handed stick in mid-air, the stick is resting on the ice. It sure looks like he's still favoring his hand a lot. Lazar, on the other hand, was very good, at least through the first two (didn't see the third).

Canada dominated I meant. Lazar was his usual steady self from what I saw. Paul was strong too.

On the second goal he didn't get any assist but that goal doesn't happen without his forecheck.
