Gonna have to let the summer play out in Ottawa as this is one day where the contracts given out were just insane. It's not even a matter of who cares, it's a matter of it only be 6 hours into the UFA period and 100 days until the Sens even hit the ice.

If I was GM and had the green light to sign Ryan and Mac - I'd have hammered it out well before July 1st and I'd have announced it the minute I traded Spezza.

I don't understand complaining about someone's tweets, can't you just block them (or not even follow them in the first place)?

Who's complaining? Just had enough of someone who knows very little acting like he knows a lot & getting away with it.

When Murray was asked about signing other players on expiring contracts next year I believe he said that their agents are too busy or concerned about getting their clients without contracts a contract. He said we have the summer to get to those other matters. I don't think it's a priority to sign Ryan on July 1st. I'm looking forward to seeing what this trade is about he's working on. It seems to be held up over a prospect Ottawa has included in the deal. Could it be for Patrick Sharp?

Good on you. I can't stand Yost and I'm beginning to get really sick of Chirp. Far too negative and far too confident in their own perspective despite their lack of knowledge.

Once our roster is more settled, then BM will be in a position to talk extensions; ditto for Ryan's and MacArthur's agents -- who will then have a better sense of what the team looks like too.

Don't hold your breath waiting on those extensions. That a conversation for next week, or the week after. There's time.

Ryan and McArthur can wait. Right now they are trying to bring in another top 6 forward and nothing else matters.
