Smart thinking adding the conditional pick in there if he resigns.  That makes tons of sense!

but what if he resigns between the 2015 draft and Free agency in 2015? where's that draft pick then eh? eh? EH???

If they insist on Bonino then Spezza goes elsewhere. They are giving up a really good young player in DSP but other than 2 draft picks of unknown quality, then that should be something they could easily do.

You're not getting dsp and bonino. It's one or the other.

i'd take DSP. it's a bit of a chance but i think he'll be that much mnore special if he reaches his full potential.

Not going to debate the skill of this guy as it's through the roof. But he is up for a new contract for next season and if his demands outweigh the 'budget' what happens? Does he leave for Russia to play for his father? Is he offer-sheeted?

The Sens would be left with a 2014 first and a 2nd in 2015 for Jason.

It's just risky. I just can't see Murray doing that.

i could live with that. again, I doubt the whole ideas that budget will stop us from resigning key guys... that may change with rye in july...
