Man people are challenged saying we're losing one of the league's dynamic first lines if all three of Spezza-Milo-Hemsky leave. Are you serious?

So...Lazar back to junior. And you're counting your chickens again with Stastny. Warning!

WE will get Stastny. Ev promises it.

he'll have to spend but past the RFA and whatever comes back from the the spezza trade who knows if heèll have to spend that much. also who knows if weèll need a center. might be one coming back in a trade. might have dacosta step up.LeKing wrote:Flo The Action wrote:i would like me some stastny but i doubt it happens. don't see Melnyk digging deep into his pockets and handing 7 mill per season to him. and i beleave if he hits the FA market that is what he will get.
Melnyk will totally pay for Stastny because 1. He needs to get to the cap somehow when Spezza's $7M will be taken out and 2. He needs to get the fans back on his bandwagon.

This is something that will be tough... a team like St.Louis may think they have a shot at Stastny and will want to commit long term to him, does that affect what Spezza will go for?

It ups the price for Anaheim et. al because there's one less piece out there.

Not necessarily. Any signing that takes an interested team out of the picture has the potential to drive the price down, as there is less competition to beat the other guy's offer.

There'll still be quite a few teams in on Spezza though - and suddenly Anaheim's competition has gotten stronger and they haven't. Panic can ensue!
