maybe it's my homer speaking but i think i'd rather have silf back as opposed to cogs. just think cogs is having a good year and silf has been injured(a lot, and that is worrying) and has not reached close to his potential.

The real question is will the Senators crack the top 25 in spending next season? "Probably not."

Why not both? Cogliano is a nice for here. Hard worker, good pker, can provide some offense. Lefty who can play c.

Problem is, as flo mentioned, he had a career year and the ducks might have different ideas on his worth in a trade.

I think we add a million in that scenario. I'm on my phone and find it annoying toggling. 1.5 in real money is my guess with silf in there.

That's about 3 million more than Gene would want to spend. I expect the payroll will be trimmed.
