He'll have next season to atone. I think we'll see him play with some better linemates and have a better fate next year.

What a strange season -- the lose two games to each of the Oilers and Islanders, then get two Ws out of each of Boston and St. Louis (before the Blues started sucking). The season that could have been.

They can negotiate in advance, but no contract can be signed until the new league year on July 1st.
