Can't stand the kid but Kadri wouldn't be a bad pickup for the Sens in any deal involving Spezza... LH center who is probably going to get moved if the right deal comes along, not sure if he's going to play 200 feet though.
makes a lot of sense. spezza can't be a center piece on any team going forwards anyway. should be brutal if st-louis or anaheim don't make it past the 1st round. I for one wouldn't be sad if Chicago won the cup to be honest. we could use a little dynasty in the NHL and a third cup would do just that.NEELY wrote:W/e, won't happen. I don't think Spezza waives to be honest, not for Toronto. No way he wants to become part of that s*it show, he thinks he gets a rough ride in Ottawa? lol
Spezza will end up out West, as a supporting player, on a contender, and maybe put that team over the top. There probably will be a bidding war for the teams out west who don't win the cup this year. IMO best case scenario is Chicago gets back to the finals.

stopped 45 of 46 shots.
tim1_2 wrote:That kid that Kassian fought is no joke though...he's been fighting all year in the AHL (250 PIMs or whatever it is). For Kassian, it's tough to play every 10th game, and then be expected to drop the mitts and be sharp too. Anyone can get caught by a good punch though, not a lot you can do about it. I'd be fine keeping Kassian around. For a heavy-weight, he can actually play and not be a total liability on the ice.
That said, I don't think we start next year with a dedicated fighter on the roster.
