That or they think that a goaler with a winning record is a better option if you want to win. What?!

Or use the guy who stops more pucks on average?  Wait, that's weird.  Or the guy who hasn't quit on 2 teams... straaaaaaange times.

 Cheers Naughty

Could have said that back in November, too.

He seems injury prone.

We may be lucky that eight year offer wasn't accepted.

Really?  Why would you say that?  Oh he's injured every single year? lol

If they trade Wiercioch before Cowen I would be pretty upset as a fan.  This is just more development time Cowen is absent from and IMO this has cost him in terms of the potential he will reach one day.  Since his draft year (2008-09) he has missed about 2 years of development and continues to.  So many red flags with Cowen it's scary.

Didn't he play 82 games in his first season? Then he was injured in the AHL during the lockout. I'm not quite ready to slap an "injury prone" tag on him just yet. I still completely 100% disagree with the contract they gave him -- still think they should have played hard-ball and given him a 2-3 year bridge. But contract situation aside I'm not ready to bail on him in any way. He's missed two years of development so he really is closer to being a rookie than a 4th year player. Would love to see him put on 25 lbs of muscle, though, make him more like Gryba in build.

I've maintained I think Methot is the player they should be dealing but if it's a choice between Wiercioch and Cowen I have made my opinion pretty well known of both players.  I think Wiercioch is better, projects to be better, and we will be a better player for the majority of his career vs Cowen.

I hope.

Vancouver does need an experienced goaltender.. What would the Sens get in return for him..

We have discussed this... not much.  Max 2nd rounder and that's probably being generous.

Might be a stretch but I think if Wiercioch had the opportunities Cowen was given we might have seen a different team outcome for this season.

That might be stretching it but I agree they would be closer to the playoffs. Cowen's year this year, especially if hurt long term, was a totally lost season.

Wtf, no it wasn't. HE played he whole year and needed this year, a year that he was expected to struggle, to get back to being his rookie self.

Wiercioch was terrible this season and needs to learn how to play the position. He's extremely easy to play against.

We have had this discussion before so we won't rehash.

Spezza's line is always hemmed in their zone man.

Well it's true and his line, (especially him) does next to nothing to get it back.

You know what a move I might like to see that could be somewhat possible? Bailey for Anderson... or something around that.
