Trade Deadline BONANZA 2014

Tough news for corvo. He's been a solid veteran and thought he played well for us. It's too bad for him, don't think the sens anticipated Ceci being such a key contributor so fast. C'est la vie, I'm sure Joe Corvo understands. Right now, Gryba + Ceci + Karlsson means zero playing time for him.

As for conacher, this must be devastating for him. But it's clear it's not working out well for him or for the team. I'm just surprised it has come down to freakin' waivers. Pretty sure Buffalo will claim him

Well Hoffman/Dacosta/Stone have all outplayed conacher. What sucks is though we basically gave away bishop for a 4th rounder. That hurts.

Now, why are all these moves being made? Conacher feels like a roster spot being made for an incoming player (meaning we're giving up draft picks and/or prospects). Corvo though seems like a mercy thing, don't believe they'll actually send him to bingo if he clears

Conacher will get claimed for sure, he makes little money, still on his ECL, and people like a guy that works hard.  That said I am glad Ottawa is moving him.  They obviously don't want to move Michalek right now.

Come on. He needs to be further developed, but he works his tail off and has consistency issues. He's a project, he needed to be treated like a project. How did other GMs not offer a crap 7th rounder for him I'll literally never understand.

I think he's exactly what the Sens need. Doesn't pretend to be anything else other than a bonafide NHL goal scorer - and left handed to boot.

He has no shot, no hockey sense, no real high end skill, he's a little quicker than average, and he's been given a ton of chances in the NHL.  Hard work got him to the NHL but it won't make him successful.  Yah, it's a nice story and all but he isn't better than 5 or 6 guys down in Bingo.  It was true 2 months ago, it was true a week ago, and it's true today... this just proves it.

I am not crazy about Cammalleri either, he's a rental. No guarantee to re-sign him. If he does a sign and trade, then you are stuck with him if he doesn't pan out.

He'll just be another guy that disappears when the going gets tough.....so he will fit right in!

Where is all this Cammalleri stuff coming from?  Hell, I would rather have Hemsky because he can skate.

Conacher being waived also reenforces just how truly ignorant Cujomo is on HF lol... not that people needed more proof.

No rumours about Cammelleri, only that he hasn't re-signed and he'll likely be moved.

I've always liked his skill set, he can deposit the puck in the net. When did his skating go downhill? I hadn't realized that.

You would have to be a good skater for it to go downhill to begin with.  He was good enough not long ago but he isn't a guy that you want with Spezza, Jesus, might not have a forward in the defensive zone with those two on the same line.

What about with Zibanejad? That said, I don't like the sound of that at all.
