If Lafontaine wanted to be the GM he was offered the job. He wasn't so Murray makes the calls and he cries... shocking. Buffalo will have a better on ice product in the long run for it.

Basically why I never talk about the kid for the most part. Truth is I really don't want him to ever play a game for the Sens.

I've always liked him as a player but also knew what his personality was like. If he just kept to himself and stayed patient he would have made the team one day due to his skill, skating, etc.

He'd be happier in buffalo so up just get it done. It's not like it would be a huge loss for ottawa, it would give Puempel more ice time actually.

That's not a position that's always necessary. Wasn't it a new position when he got hired? And when he was hired it was 99% a PR move.

next move for buffalo after they trade with us is probably poaching Richardson from us? they better make us a good deal.
Kleinendorst still coaching in the AHL so i imagine he's not just gonna jump back with us... I wonder if Nolan is interested in an AHL coaching job.   

Terry Murray would have a good shot to be the next coach IMO

Pretty much.  Also think Dreidger would be part of the deal because Buffalo does not have a whole lot in the pipelines and Ottawa loves Brassard.  They also just drafted Hogberg who IMO could very well end up being a steal in round 3, he was super high on their list last year and they were not even thinking about taking a goaltender but he was there in the 3rd and it would have been stupid not to take him.

wishful thinking because of his scratching for behavioral problems? I thought Buffalo aquired young Hackett in that deal for pominville.

Hackett isn't even playing that well in the AHL right now and ever since that season where Bingo and Houston played in the finals his games as been "meh". And no, not because Dreidger's problems but because he's expendable and Buffalo doesn't have a lot.

The more I think about it, I'd move Cowen for a top pairing Dman like edler or a big, scoring winger. I bet Murray's getting impatient with him. Dealt for a guy like edler or yandle I think.

Did we discuss stafford? He'd be another guy i wouldn't mind - despite his previous issues.

Greening for him as well as Prince and the 3rd or whatever for Stewart?

Cowens not being moved. They are adding not subtracting.

Removing Cowen at this point would be addition but that's besides the point, he's not being moved your right.
