- also his PIMs more than doubled from previous year -- looking for other ways to contribute?
5th year: 18 in 48 (a 30 goal pace)
6th year: 15 in 58 (21 goal pace)

Those are pretty decent numbers, but other than the shortened season last year it looks like he didn't adjust to Hitch's style.
Not getting along with the coach will surely reduce your ice time and linemates.

Over the course of his career Stewart has scored 25.01 goals per 82 games.

I get why St. Louis wanted ott over Stewart, but the price they paid if miller re signs is ludicrous. One first, halak and a 3rd + cArrier should have been just fine.

I think that given the alleged demand for Ott, his price was a first. Good for Murray on getting that.

Factoring that out, St. Louis got Miller for Stewart (top team that is willing to give up a roster player? hmm.....), a 3rd in 2016, Halak, and Carrier (best piece). It is a lot of pieces but I don't know that apart from Carrier it is much that the Blues organization really cared about.

As well, Buffalo is picking up part of the salary.

BTW if the deal for Stewart actually happens giving up Stone is a move that I wouldn't be upset with either. Turning a 6th rounder 4 years ago into Stewart is a pretty good return on that investment and you just hope Stone becomes 1/2 of what Stewart is.
