If the draft were today, the Ducks have the 7th overall pick.

Meh. That's fine. I'll take Bobby Ryan.

Yeah it's not going to be a great player. Bobby Ryan is a stud.

Hell even the Kessel deal was a huge win for the Leafs and they gave up two Top 10s.

They are 6-0-1 in their division. They've beaten the Bruins, Habs, Wings (twice), Panthers and Sabres. They tied the Leafs. They are going to play those teams a bunch more times. Lighting are going to start losing a few without Stamkos. Leafs will start losing if they insist on giving up 50 SOG. The Atlantic is a mess, only Boston has no apparent weaknesses, except we beat them (sure, they were on the back end of two in two, but doesn't matter).

He stopped 33 of 36 with some being of the spectacular kind... lol.  Not sure what else people want haha.  If people want a 950 % every night lol, good luck.
They absolutely 100% need to give Cowen a couple nights off. I thought for sure with Corvo against his ex team Cowen would sit. Now with Boro likely out a couple games I suspect Gryba draws in but Cowen seems to be teflon. How does he not get sat?

Because he provides toughness and he needs to play to get going.

Don't start quoting more meaningless records/stats. Our team is not playing well. Even if we squeak into the playoffs, we're not going anywhere. See: Last year. We were playing pretty much the same last year, except our team defense was better because we were less skilled and guys were concentrating more on that part of the game. Also, our goaltending was better last year. We beat up the Habs, and do you remember what happened after that, when we played a good team?

Anyway, what we need to see now is the team start to trend in a positive direction. Last night, Ward kind of stole that game for them. If the Greening shot goes in, we're up 2-0, and away to the races. Also, playing with only 5 D for most of the game really hurt considering there was less than 24 hours between games.

All this to say that we are not anything close to a playoff team right now.

Hahaha, 6-0-1 against the division?  Too bad they are 0-795-3 vs the other 75% of the NHL.  The Sens are not going to make the playoffs man, it's not happening.  Like I said, they need to build a team with speed, toughness, and an identity.  Can't do that with Spezza as the center piece and captain.  He's played fine but they haven't won anything with him in 10 years and that's not going to change.

Michalek, is another guy where 6 mil is just being thrown out the door and wasted.  Anderson is another 3.2 for the 2nd best goalie on the team, Greening's new contract kicks in next year so you hope he can turn it around otherwise it's just wasted cash.

Until the focal points of the team are Karlsson (is already), Turris (not until Spezza is gone), Ryan (still new to the organization), and Lehner (HA! Could win the Vezina and MacLean will still say Anderson is the #1), then the Sens will just be spinning their tires in a puddle of mediocrity.

This isn't meant to be a knock on Spezza, truth is he has played better since that Philly game but no results. Either way, gotta move on.

This loss is all on Anderson. When does Lehner finally get a start?!?!?

Actually the fix was in. Sens never win in Carolina...like ever. So by playing lehner and not anderson, Pmac can finally justify giving anderson the reigns once again.

Anderson hasn't been good this season, not sure how you can argue otherwise.

I hate when the sens go brain dead in games like they did yesterday for a good 6 minutes that lost us the game. I don't know how you stop that....but I know a timeout might be a good idea, especially after the 2nd goal.

It's all P-Mac-Daddio's fault, really.
