Pretty much. I think the job is Quick's to lose. He's the guy with the Cup ring who seems capable of elevating his game when the stakes get bigger.

Meh, Luongo won it last time with decent goaltending, no reason why they wouldn't this time around either. I think Sweden is the fav going in because of the ice, goaltending, and just solid complete players throughout the lineup.

Yes he was. There is a better goalie in the world for this upcoming tournament in Russian. Lundqvist is the defending Gold medal goalie on international ice.

Well, that's one thing if he's won an Olympic before. I forgot that he had. Still, things have changed a bit in 4 years. I wouldn't discount Quick being the best now or even Rask, but it's close with Lundqvist for sure.

Don't think Quick has ever played a game on Olympic ice. Fact is there isn't a bigger adjustment for a player on the ice than a goalie going from NA rinks to Olympic, the game is totally different for them. It's slower, reaction saves are not as important, and you can read the play more effectively. Lundqvist and Rinne should be the best 2 goaltenders there.

THe only thing I care about in these Olympics is watching Pavel Datsyuk on the big ice

Karlsson is a better player on small ice because what he does is make decisions in a split second with tight spaces to work on. Also he's more of an acceleration kind of player anyway.
I think Rundblad would be more impressive than Karlsson on a big ice.

As for Datsyuk, I'm more interested in the dangling of 3 players in the offensive zone, something Karlsson will probably not be allowed to do.
