Boyle had no chance. Not as good as he was before. St. Louis scored but doesn't do much else. Thornton is like Spezza. Couture is hurt.

The only guy from SJ I thought would actually make the team is Couture. As I mentioned earlier, apparently you can name injured players and then replace them pre-tournament if they are not ready to go...like what they are doing with Stamkos.

You gotta do that with a Top 3 player in the world. Couture, whatever, you can replace him, and you can't take the chance on him.

If Couture is healthy come February, should he not be on the team? If he's not healthy, just take the next guy in line at that point. This would've given Team Canada flexibilty to make a selection closer to the start date instead of a month before hand.

they obviously contacted the SHarks and the docs and he won't be healthy

well nevermind because Lebrun said they didn't care about health...but Couture is replaced easily anyway
