Vancouver also has d-men available and they need to fill their roster by trading salary for good players under cheap contracts, not to mention their prospect cupboards are pretty empty right now aside from Horvat.

Two roster players? Bogosian is good but he's not nearly as accomplished as Bobby Ryan. Maybe add a 2nd rd pick? That's all I would offer to a team that could use both those players both now and into their future.

Really think Winnipeg would rather eat Dung and die than take that package for Bogosian.

Winnipeg has no reason to trade Bogo, it's not like they are short on cap space or anything.
And nothing we can give them is any kind of replacement.

I dunno. Wiercioch has showed a very good offensive side to his game, and is improving in his own zone. He finished a +9 last season playing on a team that didn't score very many goals - albeit not against L1 players. Conacher's a wild card but with the right players playing with him has shown he can produce.

Winnipeg still has to sign Bogosian, Wheeler, Little, Tangradi, and qualify a few other defencemen. They also need to sign a 2nd line center (Grabovski?) to replace Burmistrov.

Not saying it will happen but there's certainly an argument for Murray to try and work something out.

Toronto trades firsts before having a good team or a deep prospect pool. We do it because our drafting allows us to and have stockpiled assets as is.

Why? I don't know what you mean. I'm trying to illustrate how much value he holds to them. Why would they take Wiercioch, Greening and a 1st? If we wanted him that bad, they'd ask for Zibanejad +.

All players are available until they sign a contract. Unfortunately, we probably don't have the assets required after the Ryan trade.

If we were going to make a play for Bogo, I doubt we would've signed Corvo. Who knows though.
