I believe it is lower-body, but that's all we'll find out for now.

It's definitely not a secret underground rink where Spezza is practicing. We took little Abby to SBP yesterday afternoon to buy her some playoff stuff and lo and behold, behind the mesh metal gates of the Sens Store you could see Spezza taking passes, skating around the rink, stick handling etc. Not sure how long away he is, but he's out there (alone mind you with a coach).

Yeah TSN showed video of him skating. He looked pretty good, it definitely wasn't recreating skating laps around the rink for sure.
He still might be weeks away, hard to say.

Lol, Ryan White looks like the biggest loser in the world right now. Mouths off at Latendresse, gets beaten like a little girl by Cowen, runs away from him, then gets scratched or injured and can't play the next game.
Loooooooser....

Someone tweeted that he twisted his ankle ... running away from Cowen.

The last example of a "legal" check is the Foligno clip on Phaneuf. Nick bends over at the waist and gets Phaneuf wit his back (not hip) right around the hip area. You can see the ref pointing with his left hand and then raising his right to call the penalty.
But Shanahan is using it as an example of a *legal* hip-check.
