Wiercioch not available tonight. Any word on his injury?

I believe it is lower-body, but that's all we'll find out for now.

Prust looks like a proper little lady in this series so far. I've lost so much respect for him it's not even funny.

No Ryan White or Brian Gionta for the Habs tonight.

It's definitely not a secret underground rink where Spezza is practicing. We took little Abby to SBP yesterday afternoon to buy her some playoff stuff and lo and behold, behind the mesh metal gates of the Sens Store you could see Spezza taking passes, skating around the rink, stick handling etc. Not sure how long away he is, but he's out there (alone mind you with a coach).

Yeah, they showed some short clip on one of the sports shows a couple days ago. It wasn't "public skating"; he had full equipment, stick, puck. He's closer than we are let on to believe.

Yeah TSN showed video of him skating. He looked pretty good, it definitely wasn't recreating skating laps around the rink for sure.

He still might be weeks away, hard to say.

Sorry for repeating what you said Smile

He apparently got stretched a bit too far (splits) trying to play a man against the boards. Groin would be my guess.

Lol, Ryan White looks like the biggest loser in the world right now. Mouths off at Latendresse, gets beaten like a little girl by Cowen, runs away from him, then gets scratched or injured and can't play the next game.

Loooooooser....

I'm sure you've all seen this by now, but just in case -- see how many differences you can spot between these two images. I'll start off with the easy one:

Image on the Left: 5 game suspension

Image on the Right: 0 game suspension

Dumont and Halpern in.

Remember, the Habs won the last time they iced their B lineup.

Someone tweeted that he twisted his ankle ... running away from Cowen. Laugh1

I was reviewing some of Shanahan's videos on what is and isn't a penalty.

This one is aimed at pointing out the difference between a legal hip-check and a clipping penalty: http://video.nhl.com/videocenter/console?catid=60&id=218121&lang=en

The last example of a "legal" check is the Foligno clip on Phaneuf. Nick bends over at the waist and gets Phaneuf wit his back (not hip) right around the hip area. You can see the ref pointing with his left hand and then raising his right to call the penalty.

But Shanahan is using it as an example of a *legal* hip-check.

Let's not go totally insane in our witch hunt. Even Shanaban would admit that the refs mess up sometimes.
