Bryan Murray is in the last year of his current contract... he's 70 years old... wonder how much longer he'll hold the title of GM... gotta be thinking about a transition eventually...
GM Hockey
For sure, that's the logical move, I'm wondering when that will happen...tim1_2 wrote:B-Murr will hand the reins over to T-Murr, and probably stay on as some sort of advisor to keep collecting a paycheque.
Buckle up!tim1_2 wrote:Or maybe, as a cost-savings measure, The Euge will take over as GM...and coach.

you have to think we're only a couple of years away. might sign a 2 year extension but that's it I'd think. his window to win a cup as a GM and then i'm sure hoisting one as an adviser will do if it takes too long.

Could always try for Hossa... LOL

I don't see why not. Muckler is gone and Murray and co. have a reputation as one of the best run organizations. It would be neat to get Hossa back, although he plays a really hard style of game and is always injured it seems.

Ryan is a UFA in 2 yrs. If you have to give up a lot to get him... and he walks as a UFA.. then you are a loser - or the Sens will be. They would be forced to trade him at the deadline and get much less than they paid.. They can't afford to let him walk..
This kid is good.. but he prefers to play in Philly .. not Ottawa.
If Anaheim keeps him this season, they may need to unload him at the deadline in 2 yrs if they can't get him re-signed..

Well, no go to guy would be available
