Let's start exploring the possibilities. Who is in cap hell?
Dallas isn't in cap hell but they are in financial hell. They are a team that's not even close to contending in that new central division, they need to get more pieces in their pipe line because GMJN had an awful scouting staff and did the worst job in the NHL in his time there.
Stone/1st (next year)/Wiercioch for Eriksson would be fantastic... allows Dallas to fill major needs to work towards the rebuild with young players who will fit in right away. Might have to be Noesen if it's a move with Dallas though for obvious reason.
That seems mighty low for a player like Eriksson. Think you have to deal one of Silf or Z-Bad to get him.
Zibanejad would be the guy for sure but you don't give up much more than Zibanejad if that's the case. Maybe a guy like Weircioch is added but you gotta be careful. Not sure what they will do but that's the type of move you need to make. People don't give enough credit to a guy like Noesen being born and raised in Dallas either, that has a lot of lure just like Pageau in Ottawa.
Yeah, but I love Noesen as a prospect. I guess if it saves us from sending Zibanejad or Silf, but I hate that though. Think Noesen is gonna make Smith really expendable.
Unless Noesen is going to be playing 4th line his whole career no chance. Smith is the perfect 4th line center right now and plays a big role. He's turned into a really solid NHLer on a 1.8 cap hit deal... not going anywhere. Noesen is probably a guy they don't want to move either, I agree.
