Mendes: Regardless of tonight's outcomes, if OTT beats WAS & Winnipeg loses to Montreal in regulation on Thursday, Sens clinch playoff spot.

I think Ian is forgetting a 3-point scenario though... Winnipeg getting a single point will prevent any sort of CLINCH activity tomorrow for the Sens.

I think Ian forgot a few things. At first I thought he meant if there was a regulation win tonight by one of the teams. But even that doesn't work out as I pointed out.
He needed to add some more detail... we can be in a position to clinch on Thursday provided we win and the Jets lose on Thursday as well in regulation. Tonight's activities would not have any bearing.

I would prefer the Jets lose in reg tonight so that a win on our part on Thursday would be all that is needed.

Not so fast. The Jets will not roll over.. Keeping it close is bad news for the Sens.. Caps need to get more goals.. but Pavelec is playing really well.
