We've been riding Anderson's unsustainable save percentage all season, we're now getting the unavoidable regression to the mean. He is not THAT good, he had a .914 last year.
I wouldn't blame Anderson one bit, they need to score more than 1 goal to win a game.
He had a great big stye in his eye until after the Christmas break. Ignoring his first game back after the layoff (he was yanked) his save percentage the rest of the way was .934 in the regular season (rounded up from 93.7) and .933 in the payoffs.
Yeah, he's an upper echelon goalie. He just needs to get back into game shape. We all knew he'd be rusty coming back - and he has been. If we make the playoffs, all bets will be off on how he'll perform. I would say very, very well.
