I like the Matt Martin idea for sure... not sure NYI would give him up though. I like Boll but Parros could be had for a song and dance.

I don't mind Parros but he's not overly physical IMO. He'd just be an Orr pretty much.

Parros knows his role for sure, cup ring, that's why I like him. Smart player.

Boll and Martin are both very solid as well... I like both.

The cup ring argument doesn't hold much weight, because a ton of Dung players have cup rings. I'm not calling Parros a Dung player. I don't care if a guy has a Cup ring right now, we aren't going to the Cup final nor does that make the guy a winner because he was on a winning team.

He played his role to perfection on a cup winning team and that does hold weight. Same way Thornton won his. Having guys that know exactly what to do and when to do it is rare.

K, that's not the point I am making here. I know Parros won't play much in the playoffs if at all, the point is he's a guy that's going to come in and not hurt your team while having no problem coming in and out of the lineup. Some guys look to prove a point, they are not the ones winning team want... you want a guy that proves his worth. Winning teams go after them.

I prefer a guy who will actually play every game and not be a goon like Parros. Parros' time in the league is running out. He's not Shawn Thornton at all who is basically a Chris Neil.

The fact that he has a Cup ring means nothing to me because of the fact he played 5 games.

Whether it means nothing to you isn't important and it might not be important to Murray which then does mean something. I think everyone would prefer a guy who can play like Martin or Boll but what's the cost? I can pretty much guarantee with NYI in the playoff race they won't be doing anything to help the Sens.

IMO Boll or Parros would be the target.

Different organization and could become a very important piece. He can play the game. Solid skater, heart, and will fight a rhino.
