Nope, no reason to do something that puts the future of the franchise in trouble. Zibanejad for ROR is a wash at worst, throwing Weircioch in there is a "meh" move in terms of the Sens overall depth on the blueline. A pick, w/e, it's just a pick if it isn't a 1st rounder.

Wiercioch is not a "meh". He is a RHS-PMD. In a few years he'll put on some "man-weight" and will be very valuable.

He'll get...man-strength???

Wiercioch is not a "meh". He is a RHS-PMD. In a few years he'll put on some "man-weight" and will be very valuable.

He's a lefty and with Cowen and Methot taking up the 1, 2 spots for a very long time there are other guys who could step in and play that #6 role and it's not overly difficult to find a #6, LH shot anywhere really. We'll see what happens but Weircioch is a very moveable asset because he's a solid player with a very bright future.

"Michalek is still being evaluated. As I wrote today he is having a 2nd opinion. Surgery not ruled out. #Sens"

"Latendresse has shown signs of improvement, but has not been able to skate. He is recovering from a whiplash injury."

"Michalek has yet to skate and he's still being evaluated. Latendresse is improving but still not skating"

Jeez. Sounds like Michalek may be out a while, especially if he needs surgery. Bah.

For Diddle sake. I used to love Michalek, now he's Regin 2.0.

Too bad about Michalek....but this is the year to get that out of the way.

Wow I totally missed that Michalek may need surgery on his knee. That is brutal and I forget which knee he had surgery on previously....

Meh, I think he's a good top 6 guy. May not get 35 goals again but he's good for 20, 25 and you need that depth if you want to win.

Well, we all expected a lot of injuries with a 5 day training camp. I just didn't expect that the Sens would get all of the East conference injuries.

His contract is up soon and he will be looking for a long term deal with 2 damaged knees. There's nothing good that will come out of this in terms of value for the money.
