Wait until he is a UFA. Then you get to keep your prospects. Giving up that much for a rental for a couple of months is a waste.

The Sens will go hard for him. The best he can get is 7 yr term... the money will be the issue. If he wants to play close to his home... it will be Toronto or Ottawa (he has a connection with Carlyle and Bryan Murray) -- the outside would be Mtl or Buffalo..

If he wants to win a Cup -- then it will be some other team. Can the Rangers afford him? What about the Pens, Boston?

Will he want to play in Canada? A lot of Canadian players don't want to.

Pretty interesting lines. Perhaps Smith and Da Costa could/will be switched.

I think the problem is we need scoring *now*, so you overpay a little in prospects (which we have) to get something we need. As for wanting a Cup -- he already has one, and I don't know if the Rangers are necessarily the best bet anyway (Boston and Pittsburgh have done it with their core; the West is very strong, too).

Karlsson-Wiercioch pairing in practice on the 1st PP unit. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Best option. I thought Weircioch handled the 1st PP unit with Karlsson really well yesterday and he's starting to play with a lot of confidence when he has the puck. His play without the puck is a big time worry still but he's getting better. All that you can really ask for. Boroweicki is starting to struggle in that puck moving system. MacLean is a professional and knows exactly what he wants so me saying Weircioch is in deep to find a spot on the blueline for the future, lol, that's why I type my random thoughts on a website. Super impressed with Weircioch, again.

I'd even trade my boy Zibanejad for him. But rather other guys.

I think you gotta try moving Stone first, see if that's good enough. Maybe you trade your first rounder in 2014 for Perry as a lot is still up in the air this year and how it will play out but if a 2013 1st is a must then you make it.

Moving a pick, a blue chip prospect, and a roster player to fill the void for the short future is what it will take.

man PMAC was pissed after the game. Of course that's probably as angry as we'll ever see him (staring blankly at the reporters, not answering questions about the refs no-goal call).

I'm sure Murray was taking this up with the NHL today. Absolute disgrace. Same for the goals in the Leafs/Bruins game. Two were called back that probably should not have been. This reffing is a joke across the board. They need to fix it.

I think the idea is to get him to help out now but also give Murray time to work out an extension. No one is suggesting getting Perry as a rental.

Karlsson and Benoit were also tried out. I am seeing a trend, though -- no Phillips.

He also had Zibanejad and Silfverberg flanking Babyhead. The baby line? The babies The bambini?
