I know you'll say it's a useless stat, but he's leading Bingo in +/-, or at least was, not too long ago. More importantly, he was -13 last year and is +13 this year -- that's a big turnaround. He's not going to light it up, but his offense is about on par with last year's output, but he does have a lot more PIMs. The whole team has more PIMs this year, I think. And he shoots left.

As a bottom-pairing guy, why not? I think he'll get a shot in the not-too-distant future, assuming he doesn't falter playing top-pairing minutes with Wiercioch and Borowiecki up in Ottawa.

What's his +/- look like without the two best goaltenders in the AHL?

Doesn't matter. Not comparing him to the league, just to the other players on his team.

I think there is a big reason why they are willing to use Borwiecki on the right side over Gryba. I hate the +/- stat especially in this case because we all know how badly Bingo is out shot on a lot of nights.

Boro is actually second on the team, and has missed some time. Anyhow, I'm just saying that he hasn't regressed as some people are saying/thinking, although he did get passed by others. I just keep looking and he's our only rightie.

I don't think he's regressed but not regressing isn't exactly a compliment. Can he play at the next level? Seems not even getting an invite know full well there will be 1 RH shot on the blueline could be pretty telling.

Bo (that's what they call him in Bingo.. the ladies love him BTW ...) had better ease up on the penalties. The Sens don't have the D right now to handle too many PK situations..

if bingo plays how they typically do and allow alot of shots, then theyre going to be blown out tonight. Lawsons only game this season is when he came in half way thru the game and blew a 5-0 lead

Im watching the game on my laptop with NFL on TV.
They're looking pretty good. First line is flying and Zibby looks great out there.
EDIT: Total domination, shots 16 to 2.

Well I remember back in September every team could list 2 junior players to come to camp if there was a lockout, and Noesen and Ceci were Ottawa's. I remember Bob McKenzie tweeting it.

Wow, they only gave up 4 in the first period. I was joking with someone at my kid's game how with Borowiecki, Wiercioch and Benoit up in Ottawa they are finally clamping down. So 26 shots in the last two periods? Wow, they're lucky to get out of this one with only two goals against.

What does the defense look like for tonight's game? Lawson in goal?

I feel bad for Gryba... He should get his chance.

He did alright minding the store:

Big Dman Eric Gryba easily biggest minute eater and was a rock for #BSens tonight. D plays and physical presence. And he chipped in 2 goals.

Also, something that has flown by without much talk and for good reason as it was a minor signing was Bingo's back up Chevrie. Kid had a lot of hype about him coming out of Uni of Denver and was considered a legit NHL prospect.

Pretty good low risk signing and has some potential for growth and could get an NHL backup out of him at some point down the line. This is only his 3rd season out of Uni as well so it's not like he has no shot at developing more at the AHL level.

They just waived Lawson. Does that mean they are sending him back to Elmira and bringing up someone else? As good as Chevrie is, the rules say you have to dress two, and Bishop/Lehner aren't coming back for a few days.
